Family records. We started with these because we needed them ourselves: a couple in our sixties sitting down to get our own affairs in order, who couldn't find one we actually wanted to use.
For drivers. One of us still drives delivery routes, so these came straight from the driver's seat: one book for the miles, one for the car.
So we make them plain. Big boxes that line up. In the fillable PDFs, the Tab key moves through each page in reading order. And the sensitive pages, like account numbers and codes, are built for a pen, because a file on a computer can be copied in seconds and paper can't.
